Julia's Chair

So I have been slowly redoing each of the kid's rooms. Sadly, I started Julia's room over a year ago and it is still not complete. I suppose it's a lot like my life - a work in progress. I have made a bed skirt, pillow and a goblet pleat balloon shade. I have also painted a name painting for her wall and with my husbands help (OK he did most of it) repainted her armoire and night stand. So one of the projects I am currently working on is a chair for her room. I found an adorable chair at a thrift store for $12.00. I have never seen a more perfect deal. The chair itself isn't perfect but it has a cute shape and seems to be sturdy enough. My plans are to paint, reupholster, and then slipcover this little beauty. It is mostly wood with a cane back. Tomorrow if I can figure out how I will post pictures of the before and what I have accomplished so far. Wish me luck, I'll need it!

  1. Hi there and welcome to blogging! You stopped by the other day to view the mural I painted for my daughters, and I just wanted to return the visit and check out your blog. I can't wait to see how your daughter's room is coming along...I too am very slow to get things done - I'm always doing something, but it seems like nothing is ever quite finished!

  2. Hi Jennifuzz - I just read your sweet comment about my factory cart coffee table. How wonderful that you were able to find a cart. I look forward to seeing a picture of it. Be sure to take a before and after. Welcome to the crazy world of blogging.
